This series, called Derelict, is a play on human xenophobia by reversing the normal roles of aliens. In science fiction, one often sees the trope of a malevolent alien force that cannot be understood or reasoned with. This series illustrates the reverse, whereby humanity is the force that is malevolent and unreasonable. Humanity itself is the mysterious evil, that upon being seemingly rescued by aliens, immediately attacks its would-be rescuers. I think science fiction literature, which I love to read, usually overly idealizes humanity. There are obviously necessary plot devices to create a story, but I endeavor to push stories further in my own games, thus making them more dynamic and full of twists.
This was the accompanying handout for the series, provided for viewers to explain the process from beginning to end. The handout was a front and back printout sheet of high quality presentation paper in a simple fold.
